The elaborate book of lies and pretense, authored through the eyes of ignorance
Well it still brings in the power and the money so I guess it still has it's usefulness
i was always taught when i joined jws that moses wrote all of the book of genesis.in the all scripture inspired book on page 13 verse 3 it says:.
jehovah god is the author of the bible but he inspired moses to write the book of genesis.from where did moses get the information he recorded in genesis?
some could have been recieved directly by divine revelation and some under the direction of holy spirit.. verse 5 says- there is no question as to who wrote genesis.. well yes there was, in the watchtower magazine 1959 10/1 [ could be 1/10, depending on which country your in] called -finding the truth that makes men free [ taken from the watchtower program 2004] section 15 has this to say:.
The elaborate book of lies and pretense, authored through the eyes of ignorance

i'm not after a discussion on the rights or wrongs on abortion, what i'm asking is whether or not your views have evolved over time.. perhaps leaving the watchtower was enough to allow your true feelings on abortion to find expression.
maybe abortion is one of those subjects where you still find yourself in agreement with your old jw self.
did becoming a mother change your perspective in any way or solidify your views?.
I hate to see any development of life abruptly stopped in it's tracks, such as abortion in humans, and that goes likewise for animals too
it is the cause of this that I regrettably support the personal freedom of pro-choice with it's attached regulations, as it stands today .
Just because your pro-choice doesn't necessarily mean your not pro-life.
the hell with that.
my husband came to my store today telling me that we are so close to the end now, he can tell by all the changes in meetings.
you know the kool-aid edition and time frames etc.
Sorry to hear about your predicament, that must have been a very difficult situation to deal with for yourself, your a brave and courageous woman
What your ex said when you met with him really brings to focus how psychologically off base and disturbed Jehovah Wittinesses are, it's sad when you think about it.
Hoping you rebound quickly and something a little more positive happens in your life....take care
i don't know if this is a worldwide thing because i didn't go the meeting where the arrangement was announced, but it's being done in my congregation anyway.
during those 6 months the member assigned to the pioneer is meant to make time to work with the pioneer as much as possible, so they can strengthen each other.
the idea is meant to be that eventually each member of the congregation will get a go.
Sounds like an applied exploitation of the pioneers with the intent to push the publishers to do more field work
The manipulation of minds for power and profit continues, such a shame in this day and age, but thats religion I guess

Was it ignorant men that lived thousands of years ago.... nah couldn't be, men weren't ignorant thousand of years ago,..... silly me
of course, as witnesses, everything was possibly "demonized".
if you got anything second hand, you could be in demon trouble.
if you saw a horror movie or read anything by stephen king, you were inviting the demons to you.
Fear + Ignorance = Spiritualism
october 24 is united nations day, the anniversary of the enactment of the un charter on october 24, 1945. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/united_nations_day .
in honor of the watchtower society's affiliation as an ngo with the united nations from 1991-2002, we of jwd want to say "happy united nations day" to ciro aulicino and all those faithful slaves of the wt society who worked so hard to make sure the watchtower could get up and ride the "image of the beast".
and what a ride it was!
Happy anniversary WTS. and may you burn to your destruction with your hypocrisy
i may be about to reconsider my position on nationalized health care.
if the *$#@*&%$ insurance companies are going to be as obnoxious as the government, what's the point of private industry?
at least governments can be overthrown.. .
It's common knowledge that Canada has had public health care for decades and it has seemed to have worked out well, with an occasional snag and problem of course.
It's nice thing to know that everyone is covered, young or old, rich or poor.
The baby boom generation is getting close to retirement in the next few years and this will be greatest test on how well health care will survive and perform
It is reassuring to know that when we do get up in years that there will be some kind of health care to look after us.
I hear the Democrats which will probably take over Washington in the next election, will try and pursue a national health care program, it might be a good idea
ok, here's the thing.... i have a 2004 ford taurus.
it's really nice with sun roof /power seats/heated side mirrors/the works and it's mine but with a payment of $310.
i was just offered to take a 1995 saturn (still runs decent) for the taurus but with the '95 i will not have a payment though there will be more maintenance on it.. i love my taurus, it makes me feel like i'm still human but i'm very much strapped with finances.
I have a brother that owns the same year 04 Taurus and one that did own a 95 Saturn not long ago
If you do have that long of a loan on the Taurus and the Saturn is in good shape and it has been cared for
I'd swap myself just to get out of the loan
As someone has already mentioned if you pay out the amount of the loan until completion, you will lose big time on the payout, because the
car will only be 1/4 of the original purchase price......somewhat of a lost
The key to what your thinking of doing is to make sure the car your thinking of buying is in decent shape ( motor and drive train ) and the supposed price is fair.
The Saturn is said to be a reasonably reliable car, but this is of course is determined on how well it had been treated
try to determine how mechanically sound the Saturn is before you do the swap and do research on the net. to find if there are any bugs.
Good luck
Also don't forget to do a lien check for any loans on any car that you pursue.......very important
when i interviewed for my position my now boss asked me why i didn't have a degree.
my mind filtered out "well you see sir i wasn't allowed to go to college and without that hope basically glided through high school and then went to a trade school so that i could eat.
" instead i told him that it was one of my major goals.
Cool your cool, good luck on your endeavor
